GOVERNMENT

The City Government consists of a Mayor/City Council/City Manager.  There are approximately 50 full time police on the City Police force.  The local Fire Department has approximately 26 full time on the force.  There are planning and zoning ordinances for all areas.  Holland Charter Township and Park Township both have township board.

The state of Michigan requires a 30-day residency prior to becoming a registered voter for all elections.  Voter Registration can be done at the city or township clerk’s office or at any Secretary of State’s office. Voter Registration closes 30 days prior to all elections.
